Strength
The chart below compares the strength of common 6061-T6 aluminum to our custom 7075-T6 aluminum.
Diameter - Wall Thickness
The outside diameters and wall thickness of these tubes are as follows (OD, Wall thickness) - all are cut to approximately 6' for shipping reasons. We do not recommend the 1.1mm wall thicknesses for contact staves. We use this size inside our Carbon Fiber to reinforce attaching things to it or to reinforce the CF ends from impact.

• 25mm x 1.4mm wall (~1" x .055" wall)
• 22mm x 1.4mm wall (~7/8" x .055" wall)
• 19mm x 1.4mm wall (~3/4" x .055" wall)
• 16mm x 1.4mm wall (~5/8" x .055" wall)
• 13mm x 1.4mm wall (~1/2" x .055" wall)
• 10mm x 1.7mm wall (~3/8" x .055" wall)
• 18mm x 1.1mm wall
• 15mm x 1.1mm wall
• 12mm x 1.1mm wall

A larger outer diameter tube is less flexible than a narrower outer diameter tube, though increasing the wall thickness can also decrease flexibility slightly. This flexibility can be particularly important for long props like staves, as thinner tubes can be too bouncy for some contact staff spinners.

Weight
All aluminum alloys are very similar in density, meaning 7075-T6 aluminum will weigh the same as 6061-T6 aluminum of comparable dimensions.
